Anonymous asked: How long did it take for the swelling to go down when you got your philtrum pierced? And how well did the healing process go for you? Any helpful tips? I recently got mine pierced and I want to get some advice from someone that has it. Thank you for your time! :)

Hey! It took about a week for swelling to completely go down, and I also took ibuprofen to help since eating was difficult. Definitely recommend eating small bites of food and slowly. It healed well, and I recommend soaking it in a warm saline solution (1/4 tsp non iodized salt for 8oz of water). It felt sooooo good, helped the swelling, and got the icky bits off gently. This is all from personal experience, so it could be different for you. If anything happens that seems concerning, contact your piercer cause they know best :) happy healing!

Esther Quek wrote a three piece suit clinic for The Rake.

Not only is this a great display of three piece suits, but it also serves as a more than sufficient guide to managing checks and plaids in suits and jackets.
